time and money by choosing these sets. As a general rule, most conventional
rods require the length of the rod plus one. For example, if you are building
an 8 foot rod, you need 9 guides. Of course there is some adjustment
based on rod action and what reel you might use and also the overall look you
might be going for, but this should get you started. Some also add guides
as the blank is more parabolic.
